Our Safety Tabs are mostly used as a back up or fail safe in the event that your dogs prong collar comes lose or accidentally opens. If you walk your dog using a prong collar, this can result in them becoming free/off leash. The safety tab is used in conjunction to a prong and flat collar. The flat collar is worn under the prong. The leash attaches to the prongs "live ring" while the safety tab attaches to the "dead ring" The other end of the "dead ring" attaches to the D-ring of your flat collar. In the event that your prong becomes unattached, your safety tab serves as a tool to maintain contact of your dog since it will still be attached to the flat collar. These may also be used as a back up for harnesses, gentle lead or martingale etc. Length is fully customizable. Please email us at merelymavy@gmail.com if you need a specific length.
Biothane used is 3/4" width - The same used for our traffic handles & leashes. Biothane portion is 2.75-3.5” in length, not including clasps. Length can be customized.

Biothane care instructions are very simple: To clean wash with warm water and mild soap. You may also wipe down with diluted white vinegar, to help neutralize stinky odors.
